Arab Re is a major player in its region i.e. the Arab world. Its main role as envisaged by its founders is to provide reinsurance security to Arab insurance companies and to offer its technical service to them by way of offering training opportunities and assistance in areas such as designing of reinsurance programs for direct insurers, working out of commutation agreements and problem solving support in matters related to claims and technical accounts.

Arab Re also develops software applications for reinsurance business as a secondary service. In fact, it is currently engaged in upgrading its IT facilities and it will not be long before it can offer technical assistance to direct insurers in connection with their direct operations and reinsurers needs. On the direct operations, we are now better positioned to give quotations and render advice on underwriting matters in general.

On the reinsurance side, we are now better equipped to assist direct companies with matters such as choosing reinsurance covers suited for their portfolios, as well as assisting them with reinsurance technical and accounting matters.
